Опубліковано в News, Projects, дата публікації: 18.10.2019

In October 2019, ROBOTANKS specialists has manufactured and commissioned two Horizontal steel tanks in capacity of 60 m3. They were made to the order of Boryspil International Airport. Our company had the winning tender for the manufacture of these tanks. Though the contract was signed in July 2019 in less than two months the tanks were put into operation on the customer’ area.

Boryspil International Airport is a state commercial enterprise of civil aviation, founded on a state ownership and is subordinated to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine is the largest and the busiest airport in Ukraine. It provides 62% of the passenger air traffic of Ukraine, and following the results of 2018, it has handled 12.6 million passengers.

Tank configuration

Tanks capacity is 60 cubic meters, fabricated from the stainless steel, the material of the heat-shielding casing is steel St3 (thickness – 1.5 mm), the material of thermal insulation of the tank is rock wool. The tank walls and bottom thickness is 4 mm. Container system is designed for rapid assembling and safe tank keeping on the site.

Crossing platforms along the entire tank length and at the sections for liquid level measuring fabricated with 5 mm thick expanded steel and restricted with handrails made with DN 1′ pipe on the top of the tank.

On the top part of the tank, there are crossing platforms limited by handrails fabricated with DN 1 pipe which 5 mm thick expanded steel along the entire length of the tank and in the places where the liquid level is measured

The sites on the tanks so designed that they can be combined into groups of 2 tanks each for safe transition from tank to tank.
Prefabricated container, platforms, walkways, ladder and railings are painted in blue (RAL 5010). The tank capacity is coated with white paint (RAL 9010).

The intake pipe in the lower part of the shell is equipped with a DN 2 ′ valve and a quick coupler MS-50 with a cover ensured liquid complete drainage from the tank in its horizontal position. Breathing valve is DN 50. A measuring nozzle DN 50 crashes into the upper part of the shell. The measuring nozzle is closed by a metering hatch LZ-50 made of aluminum alloy.

Each tank is equipped with two DU 600 hatches with hinged covers, set at opposite tank ends. Oil and gas resistant rubber gasket in hinged lid grooves. Hatch cover thickness is 6 mm.

Permissible residual pressure inside the tank is 0.04 MPa. Permissible vacuum in the tank is 0.001 MPa.

Optional extra:

  • Oil and petrol resistant corrugated hoses 10 m long with lightweight metal cord (diameter – 500 mm). Sleeves are equipped with an adapter for a quick coupler MS-50 on one side and a quick coupler MS-50 on the other;
  • level gauge MSHI-3.5 with a laser notch of a measuring scale;
  • PPN samplers from X18H10T stainless steel;
  • ANT-1 hydrometers with a measuring range from 1010 to 1070;
  • AON-3 hydrometers with a measuring range from 1000 to 1060;
  • AON-3 hydrometers with a measuring range from 1000 to 1400;
